How To Set Up A Facebook Business Page

If you’re a service- based business owner, it’s important to know how to set up a Facebook Business Page so that your prospects can easily learn all about you!

I’ve often been asked, what’s the difference between a Facebook Profile and a Facebook Business Page and why do I need either one of them? Well, if you’re a small business owner and you are selling a product, a service or promoting your company… In order to stay compliant with Facebook rules and regulations, you absolutely need a Facebook Business Page. But more than that, there are so many benefits to having a Facebook Business Page that Facebook offers you that a profile doesn’t.

A profile is the very thing that you created when you first opened up a Facebook account. In fact, if you’re watching this right now, you have a Facebook profile account. The one thing, though, about the Facebook profile is that it’s personal. It’s for personal use, personal reasons. And even though you can be selling products and services through your Facebook profile, you want to do that initially through a Facebook Business Page. It shows more credibility, plus a ton more… And I’ll get into another video of that later. But today, I’m going to be showing you how to create a Facebook Business Page.

Please watch the video below for the following steps:

You’re going to click on the upside down triangle.

Click on manage pages.

Click on Create a page. Since this is for your small business or something that you plan on selling, you’re going to select the business or brand option.

In these fields, you’re going to put either your company name or your name if you’re a coach or consultant, I’m going to do test clothing company just as an example for you. I’m going to select retail company and press continue. The next couple steps are going to prompt you to add a Facebook Business profile picture and a cover photo. Make sure that both of those photos truly reflect who you are, what you do and how you help people.

If you have a logo for your company, then use that as your profile picture. The cover photo can be a really pretty graphic with some text on it that’ll share just a little bit more about who you are, what you do and how you help people. After you’ve created your Facebook business page. You’re going to want to head on over to the about section where you’re going to enter as much information about your company or your business as possible. That needs to be contact information, email address, website, phone number, address and any products or services that you offer.

To do this from a mobile device in the bottom right hand corner, open up your menu. Underneath your name, you’ll see your pages. It’ll take you to the pages screen and then click the create button up at the top left corner. From here, you’ll follow the very similar steps in setting up your Facebook Business page, as you would in the desktop version. Once you’ve created your Facebook Business page, let your friends and family know about it so that they can head on over to your page and like it to start following all the updates that you’ll be sharing with everybody.

The last step is to ADD your business page to your profile in the about section. Need help with that? Check out this tutorial!
